Brody has been training since October of 2011 and received his black belt in Jiu Jitsu in December of 2020 from Professor Jim Kelly. Brody focuses on the fundamentals and principles of Jiu Jitsu and is looking forward to helping build your skills. Brody is currently a first degree black belt under Jim Kelly. The story of how he got into Jiu Jitsu is similar to many. Brody was looking for a good workout that was also functionally good for self defense. He heard Joe Rogan on a podcast with director Kevin Smith. They were talking about the benefits of Jiu Jitsu, which peaked Brody's interest. So he began looking for a place to train. When looking for a gym he lived between Louisville and Cincinnati. Brody started researching gyms in those

cities and found a video of Jim Kelly competing in a tournament against James Clingerman. "You can find the video on YouTube and you will understand why I was sold." The hour drive one way was more than worth it to Brody so that he could train under Jim. "My favorite thing is trying to help people understand the thought process of how and why something works." This makes Brody an excellent and patient teacher. He cares little about being the best person in the room, and puts helping others on the mat to grow first. His goal is to train you to get better so that he can have better training partners. Brody met Corey Tucker when he was a purple belt. So they have known each other for years.  Brody has always had a great time training with Corey. "It was a no brainer when he asked me to assist him and to be his instructor." Brody also owns his own Jiu Jitsu School in Cincinnati called Evo Grappling. Click the link to learn more.
